This is a simple and delicious blend of fresh herbs and apples that is the perfect daily afternoon smoothie for its medicinal support of weight loss. 

Serves 1

1/2 cup unfiltered apple juice

1/4 frozen banana

1/4 cup fresh holy basil leaves (available at ethnic grocers)

1 Tbs. chia seed

Combine all ingredients in a high-power blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Drink immediately.
