Increased susceptibility to colds and flu is one of the first signs that you may need more zinc. Eat more zinc-rich foods: Oysters have more zinc than any other food, but pumpkin seeds, oats, peas, and eggs are also a good source of the mineral. Try a zinc supplement, too: A typical dosage ranges from 15 mg to 25 mg daily. Avoid taking more than 50 mg daily, unless you are under a doctor’s care.
