The city of Davis, Calif., has found a new way to help kids drink less soda. The city passed an ordinance requiring restaurants to serve water or milk as the default drink with kids’ meals. Soda is served only if parents request it. The ordinance was sponsored by a local nonprofit advocacy group, First 5 Yolo (first5yolo.org).
