Cinco de Mayo Cocktail

If you can’t find dried peaches, you can substitute fresh instead.

  • 11/2 tsp. green tea leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. yerba maté
  • 1/2 tsp. dried peach
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 medium Serrano chili, seeded and minced
  • 11/2 oz. tequila
  • 1 Tbs. agave nectar
  • 1 fresh ginger slice, for garnish

  1. Place 6 oz. lukewarm water in cup. Combine tea leaves, yerba maté, dried peach, and ground ginger in tea linen or ball, and place in cup with water. Let brew 10 minutes, agitating from time to time, and remove sachet/ball.
  2. In cocktail shaker, combine 41/2 oz. tea base, tequila, and agave nectar. Dry shake until agave dissolves. Add ice, and gently swirl to chill. Garnish with ginger slice. Strain, pour into festive glass, and enjoy!
