Health App Update
Heading out the door? Read this article on the new Outside+ app available now on iOS devices for members! Download the app.
The right app can turn a smartphone or wearable fitness device into a truly useful tool. Check out these new ones:
Kumu (getkumu.com): Offers a real-life human-a personal wellness coach who works with you via texts and live video chats. Understandably, there’s a fee ($19.99 per month or $99.99 for 6 months), but you can try it out for a week at no charge.

Atkins (atkins.com): For a low-carb lifestyle, this free app identifies and tracks net carbs, protein, fat, and fiber; sends alerts if you’re above or below your target; plans shopping lists; provides recipes; and syncs with fitness information.
SugarChecked (sugarchecked.com): To steer clear of unwanted sugars, simply scan a bar code with your phone while you shop. The app (costs 99 cents) identifies added sugars, artificial sweeteners, natural low-calorie sweeteners, and sugar alcohols, and recommends healthier products, recipes, and menus.
